Our Family
We (Kevin and Kellie) started our family in 1998 and we have lived in the Northchase Community for over 25 years. Along with our two sons (Brady and Gavin) we have managed to fight many battles including accidents, injuries, personal loss and a devastating flood loss from Hurricane Florence in 2018 along with over 100 families in our community. We are proud to begin this journey in honor of our family and look forward to helping all who visit keep creating new memories on our lot. We are a first responder family that looks for chances to give back to our community as we are able. Please come visit and make memories for your family too!
Our Story
Why did we name our Pumpkin Patch , “Amber Dale’s Pumpkin Patch”? Our names are Kevin, Kellie (sons - Brady and Gavin). We get this question often.
In October of 2010, the lives of our family was shattered when we learned of the loss of one of God’s true lights, my sister, Amber Dale Conatser. She was killed by a impaired driver and her husband suffered a traumatic brain injury. I was in a pumpkin patch at the moment she passed, and our loss was so deep in the years since, my grief would revisit me fresh each fall and October became a month to dread instead of enjoy. A pumpkin patch is the last place I’d want to be! But God had a plan, and slowly over the years, the healing that Amber would want for me began to take shape. My husband and I would never think in our wildest dreams that God would use another pumpkin patch to assist in the healing of our family, but here we are.
We truly feel that it’s only right that we named this endeavor after my dear sister, and also my father, Dale Miller, who is the patriarch of our family. So, with true Thanksgiving, we opened “Amber Dale’s Pumpkin Patch", for you to enjoy and make wonderful memories with your family as you decorate your home and yard this fall. It’s our privilege to serve you in memory of Amber and in honor of Dale.
